Phialē Wines & Foods  proudly welcomes Marjan Simčič to its wine portfolio. Marjan Simčič is considered to be one of the best winemakers in Europe and has a cult following amongst sommeliers at some of the top Michelin-starred restaurants.

Marjan’s wines are consistently rated 95+ by top wine critics and are the absolute best from this region.

The Simčič winery straddles the borders of Italy and Slovenia, its vineyards are situated in the Slovenian region of Brda and Italy’s Collio region, immediately to the west of Brda.

The sites are farmed organically and many biodynamic practices are followed here and in the winery. Winemaking for Marjan’s wines typically involves skin contact and fermenting, often in concrete eggs. They’re then aged in large- and small-format oak barrels.
