Acheon Roditis Fox '22
Acheon Roditis Fox '22
This fascinating wine is produced from a pink coloured clone of Roditis called 'Fox Roditis'. Grown in a single vineyard at 800 metres above Agialeia, near the Corinth Canal.
The grapes are destemmed then crushed and fermented on the skins at 15 degrees for 25 days! Then the skins are removed and the wine stays in tank on its lees for 3 months.
Following racking the wine is bottled unfiltered. Dark orange colour, aromas of peach essence and orange blossom. Wonderfully clean, dry, peach and nectarine flavours with some background tannin that adds real structure. There's a nice long satisfying finish. Rich Moussaka, barbequed pork, slow cooked pork belly. Brilliant.
